The Ministry of Energy and Business (MEB) engaged the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, acting through its PPP Transaction Advisory Services division, as its lead transaction advisor (“IFCAdvisory”) on the Lamberts and Castle Wind Project. This project seeks to develop a 30 to 50MW wind farm in the parishes of St. Lucy and St. Peter in Barbados.

With IFC Advisory’s support, the MEB, acting through the Renewable Energy Procurement Committee (the “Procuring Authority”), intends to invite private sector developers to compete for the right to develop, finance, construct, operate and maintain a 30 to 50 MW utility-scale wind independent power producer (IPP) project in the Lamberts and Castle area (the “Project”).
