APPLY NOW FOR THE 2026 Energy Development Scholarship and Energy Development Grant.
The Energy Development Scholarship was established by the Ministry of Energy, Business Development and Consumer Affairs of the Government of Barbados to ensure that the relevant skills and expertise are available to guide the development of Barbados’ energy sector.
This is also the first year that the Ministry will be offering a one-off Energy Development Grant to support students pursuing doctoral studies in the energy sector.
This year’s scholarship and grant are being funded by Woodside Energy, an international energy company that was granted effective licences in 2020 to explore Barbados’ offshore acreage in search of hydrocarbons.
It is envisioned that the scholarship and grant will contribute to the development of local expertise and knowledge by providing opportunities for aspiring Barbadians to pursue postgraduate programmes of study relating to energy development.
